British Infantry

British infantry in 1944 are generally well-trained (in game terms, high hitpoints) and equipped troops with high individual and squad costs. Their infantry battles revolve around the Bren light machine-gun which is embedded in every rifle and command platoon, and the SAS Commando which appears in both assault platoons and specialized commando squads. Britain is hampered primarily by limited numbers on the field of battle.

Squads & Teams

Individual Infantry

Enfield Rifle

Excellent range, good rate of fire.

Sten SMG

Low range, medium rate of fire. Compares unfavorably to the Soviet PPSh and German MP40.

Bren LMG

Vickers MG

Heavy machine gun, almost identical to the Soviet Maxim HMG. Excellent range, capable of long bursts of sustained fire. Extremely deadly to infantry.

PIAT AT

Fires a spring-powered anti-tank charge at very close ranges. Hidden.

Enfield Sniper

Long range elimination of specific targets. Low rate of fire, but extremely effective against valuable enemy infantry (mortars, machinegunners, scouts, snipers).

Scout

Can use binoculars to provide intelligence on far-away locations. Hidden when not using binoculars.

3 Inch Mortar

Assault Commando

Carries two remotely-detonated demolition charges for destroying buildings, as well as smoke grenades. Well hidden, fires a silenced Sten gun with great effectiveness.

Pathfinder Commando

Identical to the Assault Commando, but can deploy two landing zone flares (which can call in 6 additional Assault Commandos).
